Where is the romance?

Travel Forums General Talk Where is the romance?

Describe a romantic location u have been to?

Personally I like the romantic places which I just stumble upon and it just feels romantic to be there rather than the places which are commercially peddled as romantic.
One that comes to mind is that island where the Count of Monte Cristo was imprisoned.
I remember sitting at the French cafe up on the cliffs there with checkered table cloths and geraniums on the window sills on a warm South of France September day. It was so nice sitting there with a coffee looking out at the sea. But I can imagine that the Count of Monte Cristo did not notice how romantic the place is.

BTW, does anyone know if the Count of Monte Cristo really existed or is he totally fictional?

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE.

Ooo-l'Ile d'If! The water was too rocky to get off there, but we went to the next island up the harbour. I have some nice pictures, though. Beautiful, indeed!

My most romantic spot was Rossnowlagh Beach in Donnegal. We ran out of the ca in the pouring rain while the sun was beating down. It was weird and beautiful--the was a huge rainbow and surfers on the beach and a crazy dog racing up and down. Just a perfect moment, which lasted all of about a minute. But we keep meaning to go back....

My most romanticmoment was when I was in this S&M club, and I met Mel for the very first time

Bali has got to be up there - Jimberan Bay, watching the fishermen go out, the sun going down, bottle of wine, a seafood dinner and a 3 piece band going around the tables playing for the customers! Bliss!!!

- Corcovado in Rio in the late afternoon. With the statue of O Cristo Redentor towering above you, and you towering above the city and the ocean, there is no better place to be to watch the sun set.

- Eiffel Tower, Paris, late at night. Just walking around the structure, then over the bridge to view it from the palace balconies

But haven't you guys heard?? Romance is dead.

Lol, jokes Personally, I found Sun Canyon, Montana to be really romantic. An isolated ranch, beautiful scenery, horseback riding with the cowboys
