I am an Aussie planning to go to the US later this year. We are planning to hire a car and had planned to organise one through Hertz, but they are giving us the run around with prices so I started looking again. I came across Nova car hire, and they have much cheaper prices than any I have found. Has anyone had dealings with them?
The car nova quoted is through Alamo which I know is a big company, but I haven't been able to get nearly as good prices through Alamo either direct or through other brokers.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any advice.
I am new here so I do feel a bit reluctant to ask, but why was this post moved to North America. Nova are world wide brokers based in Ireland, sell via the net
The company providing the service could have a headquarters in anywhere in the world. But your post is about hiring a car in the USA. So it would make more sense putting it in the North America forum so that others who have been there or live there could help you out in hiring a car. Plus, I think most Europeans would not know what rate the company based in Ireland is offering in the USA and how their service is over there.
The point of my post was to find information about Nova. They appear to hire mainly in Europe.
It is a world general question.
Sorry I must have mislead you, I am not looking for information on hire cars, I am looking for information on the company "Nova". I understand they do not hire to citizens of the US in the USA.

Never heard of Car Nova or Nova Car--and I certainly wouldn't rent a car through a company that didn't even have an office in the US. Seems like a bit of a scam to me. I'd call Alamo and ask them if they've heard of Car Nova--they could tell you if they rent cars through the agency.
