Hey Everyone :)

Planning to go to NZ on a WHV. I did this a few years ago with a friend in OZ and had no trouble picking up temp office type work but, was wondering what it's like in NZ?

Are there any good first ports of call I should try, i.e. agencies etc?

Any advice/held you can offer is greatly appreciated!

Many Thanks

if you are based in auckland or wellington you shoud be fine as there's loads of work due to a general labour shortage in NZ. i'm not sure what the smaller towns would be like for office work though.

try as that's the biggest jobs website in NZ. in auckland also try Auckland Central backpackers as they advertise jobs there, and also travellers contact point at the bottom of Queen st as they advertise various kinds of work.

I can only speak from my own experience and it also was no problem to find office work in Christchurch. We just handed in our CVs at the major recruitment agencies (Randstad, manpower, etc.) and they called us within a week.

Outside Auckalnd, Wellington, and Chirstchurch you probably won't fina any office work. Its much more likely to be hospitality ot something random..

i got work through manpower in wellington no bother. but i had tried around the nelson area, for any kind of work, and all that was available was gutting fish. eugh!
like the others said you will have no bother getting temp work in the cities but out of them youl probably be restricted to harvesting or something in the tourist industry.
