I plan to go travelling with a friend at the end of April. We are going to do Asia and then Australia before going to South America then head north. Now my friend is 35 so not elligible for a working visa so we hope to enter Australia on tourist visas and stay as long as we are allowed to. I would love to return to Aus after my traveling on a working visa so I could stay for a year and see places that I never got round to seeing the first time. My questions are would my friend be able to return to Australia on a 2nd tourist visa even for a few months and also if I am still travelling would I still be able to apply for a working visa? I know you have to be outside of Australia to apply for it but do you need to have a permament address or would a PO box be alright?
any advice would be very much appreciated

Tourist visas...sure you can keep getting them over and over again. 3 months per visa. Not sure how long the gap has to be between getting each one though. Only costs a tenner from Blighty, well thats what my sis paid the other week.

Pretty sure you can keep getting them over and over but you do need to exit and enter the country again.. (seen lots of people do if over the last few months) So while the visa is cheap the flights out might not be so cheap so you might want to book those early.
