Hi,

I was there last April, one of the two hottest months in Thailand!

For Pattaya, a speed boat to the beach is a good place to relax under the sun. At night, there are more activities and there are many bars near the beach, just at the end of the central road.

I was actually on a guided tour but found it boring and just went by myself and local people were so friendly and helpful, therefore they are the top place in SE Asia.

Internet was so expensive (25 Baht/30 minutes) while for the same money you can use for about 3 hours at least.

Daily budget should be around 50 USD I think.

Good luck.

Ravi,
You are going to be in Pattaya over Songkran. Pattaya drags it out for a week, this year April 13-19th. You can get water thrown on you all 7 days. This can be a bit of a hassle when you dress up and want to go to dinner or bar hop. Some stupid farang might think this is the perfect time to drench you with water. I suggest you time it so you are in Pattaya for the last 2 days of Songkran and visit BKK or other cities between April 13 and 17th.

Your choices during the day are many: Golf, tennis, paintball, diving, fishing, go carts, bowling, shopping, etc. This website maybe helpful for deciding what to do. I recommend you take the boat over to Koh Larn if you really want a pleasant beach experience. Clean water, clean sand and fewer tourists. Better option than either Pattaya or Jomtien beaches. Only 40 minutes and 20 baht away.

Pattaya is famous or imfamous, depending on your point of view, for its nightlife. There are literally hundreds of bars to choose from. Many go go bars with dancing ladies, or dancing lads if that is your choice. Or dancing ladyboys if you prefer! Pattaya is similar to Vegas in that respect. Our motto is: If it is worth doing, it is worth overdoing!

Send me a PM if you want specific recommendations on Pattaya nightlife.

Mike is right: the water festival celebrations in Pattaya usually continue until about April 20 --- and they are not low key. Prepare for total water warfare. It gets very crazy: water day AND night. If you are at all squeemish about getting wet (soaked), you should plan accordingly.

Pattaya day trip you should go Koh Lan and relax on Samae beach is the best or you hire speed boat to koh pai, the isolate island. April is hottest month you will be burnt in the sun light...

Night time, Walking Street is the must go place for tourist many underground pub, koyote. lound noise out there but colorful. It's pattaya nature.

Any info you can ask private to me on

The best places to visit will depend a lot on your interests, for example Pattaya is a haven for adventure and sport. Pattaya is well-known as a beach resort and for its nightlife and shopping, you can go horseback riding to bungee jumping, karting, golfing, and shooting.

Vegasmike as usual is on the ball. Forget Pattaya for beachside enjoyment. Certainly recommend the ferry over to Loh Larn for a clean swim etc.(cheap as chips). Travelled over last year, paid for my deckchair, had food brought to me etc etc , heaven. Haven't experienced Jomtien but will this year. Experience Walking Street at night and take your pick of bars/night clubs etc. Pattaya has heaps of clubs, bars, etc etc. Enjoy.

It agree. That can be better, than quiet walk by a boat.
