Technically, you should get another one because UK is not in the Schengen zone and they will give you an exit stamp when you leave, and then an entry stamp when you enter again later. But depending on the nationality of the person doing that, the British Immigration might ask a lot of questions if they suspect the person is trying to misuse the tourist visa (e.g. to work in the UK illegally). I have heard stories about Malaysians being turned back at the airport, some of them on their first time visit, because after they were questioned, they gave the immigration officers an impression of their intention to work in UK on a tourist visa.

I believe there could be other things to consider too, which are only known to the immigration officers. If they have a reason to believe you might do something illegal, they may deny your entry. Like any other countries, in the end, it is still up to the immigration officers' discretion even if you are technically allowed to enter.

By the way, what is the nationality of this person you're talking about? Perhaps others from the same country and had done the same could tell their experiences.
