I just sat down to book our Inca Trail permits for May. We where thinking of doing a 2 day trip. Now, looking at the availability, it seems that May is already booked out...
Of course, we are there middle may. Now, is the permit a requirement to enter Machu Pichu? Or is the permit just for the Inca Trail? If it covers both, and it is full now, what are our options/alternatives?
Afaik the permit is just for the trail; but, Machu Picchu also works with a maximum number of visitors per day. If you're there early, you should be fine, though.
Bentli was right.
the permit is just for the inca trail, but you must have a permit/entrance ticket to get into machupichu...
adittional tip: if you want to get up to huayna picchu ( the bigger mountain next to machupicchu ) you must get inside early because only first 400 people are allowed
hope to see u around here
Well, thats good news at least! I was concerened I woudl miss out all together!
So, when it says its booked out, it really is booked out? No hopes of still getting a spot?
Would heading to Aguas Calientes and stay there overnight before going to Machu Pichu and huayna picchu be a good idea?
thats the best you can do
you go up to machupicchu very early in the morning, first bus departs at 530am and you can see the sunrise at machupicchu go for your 3hour guided tour and then go to huaynapichu by yourself
take care that huayna picchu entrance closes at 10am so dont spent too much time taking pictures at machupicchu
you can do that after you go down from huayna picchu
huaynapichu has a wonderful view of machupichu
i was there !!!
see u around here bye
