I have joined the late 1990s, and have bought myself a computer. No more surfing from work or internet cafes for Greg. It's a MacBook and it's black and pretty. It's a little weird to get used to, but I'll manage.

Next, I plan on joining the 2000s and actually getting myself an internet connection at home. Pretty soon I'll be listening to MP3s and everything!

Congratulations!

I have the same one. They sleep through the night pretty well, but potty training is proving to be tricky.

Say it ain't so!!!!! We liked you being stuck in 1984 - rather Orwellian.

It's a MacBook and it's black and pretty.

What is that line? Oh yeah... Once you go Mac, you never go back! I do have to say watch out because they have a tendency to multiply over time. You can't own just one. Or maybe it's only the desktop models that reproduce... (Have 3 sitting here staring at me.) The PC laptop has refused to spawn which is a good thing!!

It's a little weird to get used to, but I'll manage.

It's a challenge when you can actually find your files, click and drag, plug in devices and have them recognized, not deal with redundancies... Hang in there, Greg!!!! Oh, don't load Windows onto it if you can avoid it. You won't like it and neither will your Mac. It will rebel. Nothing worse than a pissed off laptop...

Next, I plan on joining the 2000s and actually getting myself an internet connection at home. Pretty soon I'll be listening to MP3s and everything!

I give you about 2 weeks before you have internet at home, buying an iPod and seriously looking at iPhones.

Congratulations Greg!!!!! I think you should celebrate your "awakening" by coming to Chicago in June!!!!

Luckily for me, iPhones don't work in Canada, so I'll have to put up with my Samsung with the broken screen for another few years yet.

I hand write my posts on a piece of paper, attach them to my well-trained, RFID-tagged carrier pigeon who hones in on the nearest internet cafe who, upon receipt of the note, types them up.

Is that the really thin one?? I saw the new mac laptop advertised and some happy smiling guy was putting his laptop into an A4 envelope.

As for making it to the 1990s - congratulations! Before you know it you'll be sending text messages and everything.

That's the macbook air, a lovely little machine. Although the macbook is a beauty too (especially the black one!) and a little more powerfull.

Greg, the iphone is nice too. There are ways to get them working in Canada you know?! It hasn't arrived in Norway either, but mine is working :) Rumour has it there are 400 000 active iphones in China, which is impressive because a. it's 10% of total iphone sales and b. it's not officially available in China
