Hi Shelly,

Book it whenever you feel like you've found one you're happy with! I doubt that there will be much problem with availability anyway. Plenty of people just turn up and find a place once they're there. Booking in advance at all is fairly well prepared

Cheers, Peter

try the usual

Although from experience it may show up on the site as bein full it may only be the quota offered to hw. If you get the contact details of the hostel and ring them they will often have space.

Hi Guys

While your on the subject of hostels can anyone recommend a good hostel in Sydney?

I'm going on a working holiday visa for a year and need somewhere to bed down initially for a couple of weeks while I look for work.

I'm looking for a place thats reasonably quiet and relaxed.

For Sydney central, Base is the newest (redone) hostel in town and seems to be pretty nice. It's dead center too which is nice. Another nice one is Wake Up near central station or the YHA, also near central. These are all 25 AUD and up for a bed in a dorm room, but that's Sydney for you. If you want the beaches, Indy's in Bondi is pretty well known.

By the way; the hostelworld hostels can also be booked right here on Travellerspoint so I don't know why you would want to go there :)
