I fly into Stockholm in mid June and about 16 days later I fly out from there. I was hoping to see parts of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
What is your advice on must see highlights? What do you think is a good route? I really enjoy natural beauty as well as cities (if I had to give a ratio, maybe try to organize my time: 65% nature and 35% cities).
I will be probably traveling by train or bus. Ideally meet some European backpackers in a hostel with a car but I can't really plan on that.
I really appreciate any advice you can give.
Thing is with sweden, 75% of the people are in the middle and south of sweden (below stockholm). And I think you might have some trouble finding some really beautiful scenery. Except for the towns and around them of course. And there are some really nice places. North of sweden is quite scarcely populated. But truth to be told I haven't been that much up there so my advice probably isn't the best... But I can imagine it's quite the scene. Completely covered in woods and all.
Well hope this helps slightly. Can't say much norway, And denmark isn't really the best tourist place to be honest ;p
I'll try my best to answer any further questions too .

yeah i drove from copenhagen all the way up to skagen which is them most northern point of DK and it was pretty boring... we did take the highways tho which usually bypass pretty things. we also then drove from varberg down to malmo and then across the bridge to copenhagen again... it was also kinda boring. i mean the cities we saw were nice, but nothing really special, and i didnt see much nature really.....
