Hi all,

This is the first day that I have signed up to this site and its great i have to admit! i am very glad that i found it before i start my travels in April!

I am driving with my partner from Ediburgh, Scotland to NZ. i was wondering if any one out there has any information on the shipping costs, regulations for China - Auz and Auz - NZ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also we are driving a VW Syncro Turbo Diesel and we are worried about the regularity of Diesel in the further Eastern Countries - has anyone done anything similar that knows about this?

Thanks

Cheryl MacPhail :)

Hi,

Yes we are! It will be over a few years but that is the plan!

Why, Have you done long distance driving yourself?

Thanks
Cheryl :)

You'll be ok for fuel in Eastern Europe, a lot of cars there use diesel too. Whats your route? Sounds amazing!

We will be spending the summer in central Europe and then mooving up to Poland, Russia etc, then Mongolia, China, Auz and then NZ.

I think that we will be traveling for a good few years though as we dont want to rush it. We are young and have no comitments at home like a mortgage, studies etc so should be great!

We were worried about finding diesel but on the other hand it will be cheaper not having to fill the Van as often.

Have you done long distance travel yourself? if so so you have any pointers?

Thanks
Cheryl
