Have you ever lost contact with a person you just met on a trip. That what's happen to me recently... I was invited on a Franfurt adventure for four days( Montreal-Franfurt) so i could be a moral support and traveling partner for my best friend....she had just found after 15 years an old friend of hers. We were sipping beers and watching rugbby on the giant flat screen with a bunch of men, invited there for the weekend by a bride and a grom for the bachelor party. There were 40 men scraterd around the place. It was our hangning place after a long day walking around the town. Were talked for severals hours, heach her own group and i met the most witty, charming and calm guy i have met in a long time. I gave him my email (forgot to take his) and i had to go catch a train out to the airport and fly out back to montreal. That was this january, and i have been trying to find him since. I dont have his last name i know it's going to be hard, but i'm a confidant that somewhere in Dublin there is a construction manager named Aaron who's trying to do the same thing....
Are you willing to give me a hand. Are you living in Dublin. Help i need it, bad. thanks
Have you tried the Lost Friends section here on TP? You can post that you're looking for Aaron there. Maybe you can try to contact his employer, too...? You never know what might work!
Hi again C-Anne,
I met my other half on a trip, too--he's in Belfast now, but things worked out very well for us. Just have hope! Keep persevering. Do you know the name of the married couple? Maybe the bar has a record of the name of the person who booked the bachelor party? Call a few numbers in the Dublin yellow pages--maybe they can point you in the right direction. Keep asking lots of questions! Is that his picture in your profile? Try posting it here, too, as a link. You never know who might know him...
Bonne chance encore, ma chère. On sait jamais qq le monde nous apporte!
Je te remercie de tout coeur.
Yes that him, Aaron. We were talking and then i realise how late it was, we actually almost misted our plane... i wrot emy email on his palm with a borowed pen, forgot totaly to ask his because frankly i dint expect him not to write. I'm now on facebook, travelbuddy, Gmail...the list goest on and on....
the pub refused to help and the hotel well..... the yellow pages are no help-no last name. I giving it a couple of hours more this week and then i'm just going to let the dust fall. Maybe something will come back to me. Send some positive energy my way i need all the help i can get.
kiss hug and tell the love of your life he's lucky to have found you
do you know which part of dublin, did he mention living in suburbs or city, you could put an add in one of the local papers, ?? have you tried bebo ?? its like facebook ,its very popular in dublin......another option is that if he's in construction you contact some companies, do you know if he works for a large or small one ? or maybe through the trade unions? most people in the trade would be able to point you in the right direction......don't suppose he mentioned his local pub or anything that would mean you could pass a message to staff there ??? send me a pm if you think i can be of any help....
