Hi

Just looking into flights, Lima to Cusco in April and was just wondering how much (on average) and with what airline.
We have not ruled out the bus option, any thoughts???
Any assistance would be appreciated!

Cheers

Hi,

Normally domestic planes in peru booked by advande are cheaper, we have thee optional airlines
LAN PERU (they have around 12 flights per day) they have better schedule of flights, I mean not to early as the other companies. Also star peru and aerocondor. 1 flight per day.

The price is around 100 US$ per flight cusco - Lima or Lima - Cusco
By bus cost 30 US$ and take 20 hours it is very nice roud.

If you want information about hotels, flights or bus tickets.

Plane is quick but expensive, and a terribly irresponsible way to travel. Bus is slow, but cheap and quite comfortable, and you get amazing scenery thrown in for free. Plus, you need less time to acclimatise in Cusco than you would when flying in.

There are two feasible bus itineraries: one via Nazca, one via Arequipa. The latter is less bumpy and Arequipa is a nice city, the former is slightly quicker and the scenery is more stunning. A third option would take you via Huancayo and Ayacucho, but that takes a lot more time and changing busses.
