Utrecht (user, not city or town)

I probably wouldn't understand you and Sander using certain words

you seem to have me confused with somebody that understands technology...

No, I ment Sam and Sander. But I like the style that you (in general, not about IT stuff) and especially Sander writes on the forum. I really have learned lots of words during the last well let's say 18 months. That the dutchie actually knows that words.

Mb, backspace, enter, delete...oops

And count yourself lucky - By the time Sam and his Dutch friends, Sander, Nikki and Arjan and yourself all set off, i'm going to be not understanding a heck of allot of words. Me thinks perhaps i should starting brushing up on my Dutch...

Uhm, I don't even know I will be there. Probably haven't made that clear in earlier posts. Busy with the new house, moving a lot of crap from south (parents) to Utrecht. If things are getting from rather vague to clear, I might join the drinking part
What touristic part do you want to do by the way. I don't know plans, but are there any people who are dying to see something special in the Netherlands whatsoever? If I have the time, there is car...which is way easier than using public transport to places in the polder

Rich, I haven't started dutch classes yet and i doubt i will have any good standard in the space of a few weeks !! but drink makes it all easier !!

as for the tourist side - I'm not too picky and haven''t seen that much of the Netherlands, so far its been Epe , a bit of Utrecht & Amsterdam, Haarlem..........so it'll all be new to me !!!

I unfortunately will. I know TP members would love to meet me but I cant travel to Utrecht because I have spent most of my travel money for this year already.

So, I'm looking into it. Would have to rebook some travel and all, so we'll see if it's doable

Nikki - That's what i'm afraid of. You getting drunk and trying to show off your Dutch. I can barely understand your English when drunk!

I'm open to ideas. I put the touristy thing in more so that we don't end up spending 2days solid in the pub, which, whilst might be fun, can start getting expensive. I know NL fairly well and don't personally have anywhere specific I am desperate to see, so will leave that open to others who might have ideas etc
