Opps, must check the forums out more often.
I'd have loved to make it, but alas i'm heading back to the lone star state this weekend.
Have a good time people

The sun just broke through the clouds here, and the sky is mostly blue. The "buienradar" shows almost completely clear.
I'm thinking we're good to go. :)

Hope you all are having a good time. I was 50/50 on actually showing up this weekend, but some last minute wrangling surrounding my job and a few other things kept me firmly on Canadian soil this weekend.

Ah, that's a shame - would've been great meeting you.

So, short report of today: gloriously sunny and blue-skied day. Spring might finally be happening. We rented bikes and drove through where the flower fields are supposed to be, but it was too early in the year (after the long winter) so they were a bit on the sparse side. Still, did stop for a small field with pretty red tulips and half a bus load of Japanese tourists. Eventually managed to find where to park our bikes at the Keukenhof, and then walked around there for the rest of the afternoon. We prevented the kamikaze ducks from completing their evil plan for world domination, made fun of hideousl(ly) expensive art and saw the location of the world's largest tulip (tulip not included).

So, back from the second day of the meet. We did a lot of sitting around and walking about today. Brunch was had, and decisions were made, although most of these decisions required lengthy discussion beforehand on whose turn it was to decide, and one even required the toss of a coin. We spent about 40 seconds looking at the (outside of) the Rietveld-Schröder house, before we had to rush back to go and climb the Dom (where we arrived at the exact moment the bells started tolling).
No boiling oil was poured down on anyone (because this was a trial run), and the Irish pub provided a welcome setting for filling every imaginable bit of whitespace we could find. Then they turned up the sound of the telly, which scared us away, so after failing to find a good spot in the sun (on account of tall buildings and clouds building up) we went on two pilgrimages through the world's least attractive shopping center (and that's saying something) - which we did four time in total today - to eventually end up at a dinner type place where we spent our final hour.

Ze End.

All you people who didn't make it: you suck! But you can make up for it by being there next time. *nods* :)
