hey cay
yeah i'd bother either a sleeping bag or sleep sack(sheet folded and sewn).
hostels are not always the cleanest places and you don't want to be on the receiving side of scabies or bed bugs!
not a pleasant experience.
dont forget your bottle opener cork screw either
enjoy SA.
Way ahead of you on the bottle opener! OK, i think i may take one with me, thanks.
i've read somewhere that some hostels and guesthouses (in warmer areas, i think) don't allow sleeping bags, because they may spread bed bugs. or something like that. so make a sleeping bag liner - that seemed to be allowed. and it's thin and light and all that jazz.
I bought a cotton sleeping bag liner for £7.99, i think it's a good compromise to a sleeping bag and a number of friends are doing the same on thier travels!![]()
