Mimi84 has indicated that this thread is about United Kingdom

Hello everybody,

My name is Tahmineh and I have just this year left the world of troubled teens and entered the turbulent twenties. Does anyone know why time seems to accelerate at this point?

Dude, just wait. It keeps getting faster and faster. Soon the years will be flying by. I can't believe were almost already 1/2 way through the oughts (2000-2009).

My grandmother said that when you get to her age (she was in her eighties at the time) the years past by so quickly. Of course, now she is dead, so I suppose time doesn't pass by all that quickly for her anymore.

Or maybe it does?

Who can guess what the dead know.

Hi Tikilou LÁmour,

No idea why time speeds up after 20, I still feel 21 but am now 28!
And like the last guy, I can´t believe we´re half way through the naughties already!
All I can say is that once time starts speeding up you´ve got to start finding out what makes you happy and go for it!
I´m travelling at the minute after quitting in January from a seriously heavy research job!
And I´m loving every minute of it, meeting so many new people and enjoying the sun!
My motto in life is:
´Do what ever makes you happy in life, so long as you don´t hurt anyone else´.
So just enjoy the years!
Check out the poem ´Desiderata´by Max Ehrmann, I always look to it for some peace and inspiration.

Take it easy Tikilou

Welcome from one part of Scandinavia.

And if you think things go quick at 20, wait until you get really old. At 24 it feels like you start loosing years, and 25 your over the hill....

Hey to all

I have enjoyed reading all of your posts so far. I have to say, it's part of my own doing that I choose the wrong guys. It's never a look thing, I've been out with the most average looking guys really, but I've been able to get along with them well, but then for some reason, being in a relationship makes them evil, and I guess you get to see the real person.

I actually enjoy my single life; I've always tended to be a bit of a loner and I don't mind doing my own thing or seeing friends and plus I'm happier. But you're right lovelee, when you see people around you all loved up, it can make you wish you were. But I guess there will be my time for all of that.

Hey everyone

I've not been on here for a while, new job, plenty been going on, turned 21 and things are still no clearer but I think I've learnt to not panic so much and things happen.

I hope everyone is okay.

Tikilou. x
