I know its possible to get from Singapore - Malaysia by car, train, plane etc... would like to take the train to see more of the rural countryside but ive looked so hard to find prices for the train to Kuala Lumpur and cant find any!

Has anyone done this before? if so how much did it cost you roughly?

In case you didn't know, the Malaysia travel guide has information about travelling by train/plane/car/boat into the country. :) Train service in the peninsula is run by the Malayan Railway (Malay: Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM)).

I did tried the KTM twice going from Singapore to KL Sentral Station... but took the midnight trip so as to save our sleeping time on board.. we took the regular cabins which costs almost the same as the bus but the travel is a bit longer at night... I believe morning trips travel on less time... the train trip is a bit bumpy compared to a comfy bus ride...

Anyways, I took the train for experience and liked it though the morning trip could have provided more view... but when riding the bus there isn't much to see since they drive mostly on express highways...
