Can anyone recommend a nightclub or two in Vegas that isn't too pricey and will just be good fun?
All I can find out on the net is places like PURE and expletive deleted LAX or whatever. I could give a expletive deleted about those places. Hundreds of bucks and massive ques? not for me.
Btw- I'm a 21 yr old student with a few other male buddies.
I posted already about the "hottest" clubs right now on another thread on here, but if you want a good place without the lines, I'd try "Raj" at the Luxor.
Keep in mind that the easiest way to beat the lines is the same everywhere--show up early or show up late.
In Las Vegas, get there no later than 9 PM if you want to avoid those long queues--either that or sign up for the specialty service that allows you to bypass the lines (but that means shelling out$$$).
Another way to sometimes get into these places--show up in a limo. Strangely enough, limos are really cheap in Vegas compared to other cities. So get one, cruise around and pick up some cute girls--then go to a club and see if they will let you in with you and your cute friends right away. Pay the limo driver off (so he can go home the clock on the limo will stop running)--and then just get a taxi to take you home.
I don't know if the girls will still be hanging out with you once the limo is gone--but if they are kind-hearted and think you are cute it won't matter--and if it does matter, then buy them enough drinks to forget about it--or find other friends for you and them at the club. (get in, then go separate ways). After all, the limo helped them get past the lines, too--and that may be the main thing they wanted!!??!?!

Sad to say, Raj is now closed. LAX has taken its place and it is the same as all the other clubs in Vegas: Hip and expensive. Most charge $30 for men, $20 for ladies to get in, some clubs allow local ladies in free weekdays. It is very difficult to hit the club scene and not put a major dent in the budget. Unless 'kingdingle' and his posse are willing to tip the doorman, waiting in line is almost guaranteed. Once in, you can drink and dance, but there is no sitting unless you are willing to pay for 'bottle service', usually $350 for a table and one bottle of booze.
It is almost impossible to be hip and cheap in today's Las Vegas. Just the way it is.
Thanks for the latest data, vegasmike6.
Seems like I have to get to Vegas more than every two years if I'm going to be up-to-date on all the changes. But based upon the costs, I know now why my wife and I are going to Reno instead next month for our wedding anniversary . (We've got tickets to Chris Rock's show on Saturday night--and we're planning on getting in a bit of golf also). I'll have to plan on Vegas once our son is out of college in two years and the household budget is back to normal.
