Well am off on my 2nd trip east to OZ and am in a dilema as to where to visit on the way. The last time I went, I took in south china, vietnam, cambodia, thailand and hong kong. This time, I am looking for someplace/s relatively inexpensive, with plenty to see.
I am looking for some suggestions of places maybe you've been to and would recommend or travel routes you have taken.
A country id wholeheartedly recommend is Laos. Great vibes, lovely scenery, laidback, and very friendly people. Its cheap, too, beerLao is around 9,000 kip (bit less than 1 USD) per bottle.
You might want to consider India and Nepal as well - heading there in a month and from what i've heard, it seems pretty amazing and not too expensive too!
I'd love to be in your dilemma though - always loved the feeling of being able to look at a map and pretty much whimsically choose to go to any place that catches my fancy.... well, have a good trip, sounds like you'll have a great one
