Does anybody know if it is usual to get bedding available when you stay on a farmstay? I am packing my bag as I write and my fantastic down ultra light sleeping bag doesn't look so ultra light and fantastic in my backpack and is still rather bulky. I'd rather do without but I don't want to have to let the moths out of my wallet again for another one out there if I do need one.
The sleeping bags green by the way for any sleeping bag spotters out there! You can even stick your feet out the bottom too.
if you're backpacking around, too, then i suppose it would be easier to hire one when you're there...if not, then bring it, what the heck. a bit of a bump on the road, but you can use it, right?
i was thinking the same thing earlier; i'm leaving this august on a backpacking trip...but by the time i get to australia (planning on some fruit work :O)...carrying it all that way....it's too bad, it's a good one, too! most likely i'll end up renting.
lots of luck
It varies - but I warn you it can be pretty grim. I would take the sleeping bag.
