Hello,

I've been planning a trip to australia on a WHV, and this includes going to New Zealand for a while. After hearing lots of lovely things about the place, i now want to travel New Zealand for longer and get a WHV for there as well. I was wondering if it was ok to have a WHV for both countries at the same time, as i would need to apply for both before i leave.

Thanks
Erika xx

Yes, it's very possible to have WHVs for both at the same time. I did that myself, and that's absolutely fine. (Just as long as you make certain to enter the second country within one year of its visa being granted.)

Alternatively, I think you can actually apply for the New Zealand WHV from any country (that is, you don't need to be in the UK to apply - just outside New Zealand) - so you could apply for it while in Australia. I'm not 100% certain of that however, so do your own research to make certain that's the case before relying on it.

This looks to be the right information. As long as you usually permanently live in the United Kingdom, you can apply when temporarily visiting another country. Reference Link
