Hello !

Table mountain...
I'm going on expidition in Africa in December, i am starting in Cape Town specificly to hike it and Lions Head !
I have friends living there who have done it and explain well..
It's only 3,550ft (Snowdon height) trails are medium to light and well marked, try to hike after sunrise as peak season it will be hot around base at midday. Take as much water as you would be doing a climb of the same height here ! the cable car runs up and down, my thoughts are to take it in the descent to relax and get good use with the camera in this impressive area, by the way the power problem in South Africa is NOT effecting the cable car service on Table mountain so don't panic that you will get stuck !!
Simply that, then enjoy. there are many types of insect and especially plantlife endemic to South Africa, if you hike around Lions Head which is the big steep peak next to it there are plants endemic to just the one peak !! Amazing.
and if your not into that then the Views speak for themselves, i cannot wait.
Hope this helps,

Kind Regards,
Rob.
