Travel Forums Asia Food Souvenirs from Singapore

Everytime I go on vacation, I like to bring back food souvenirs for my co-workers. What kind of Singaporean treats or desserts should I bring back? I need something that can withstand being in my luggage and flying back home.

Thanks,

marlene

A few items that I can think of are:

1) Barbecue Pork which is vacuum packed (available from BEE CHENG HIANG)
2) Pork/chicken Floss from Bee Cheng Hiang
3) Cookies from Bangawan Solo (you might want to choose the more hardy type which can withstand the knocks)

I'll concur with the barbecue pork and pork floss - unless your colleagues are vegetarians or something. I'm not a big fan of Bengawan Solo's stuff, they're kinda over-priced for average stuff.

If your colleagues are brave enough, perhaps buy some durian candy I'm sure you can get them and other local delights at Chinatown.
