Got 10 nights in Indonesia late April/early May.
3 nts in Bali, next 4 nts undecided and last 3 nts back in Bali.
Have gone east to Sumbawa, Sumba, Lombok, Nusa Lembongan and Gili Meno before but have never gone west to Java.
Is Borobodur and Mt. Bromo possible over 4 days or should I stick to Borobodur, and is it worth it?
Looks pretty impressive, and would be flying Denpasar to Yogyakarta if I decide to go there.
Love Gili islands but thinking of something new.
Anyone snorkelled Manado? cause that caught my eye quite a few years ago.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Just throw the ring into the flames and get out of there as soon as possible.

hi wotthefiqh,

u can easily fly from bali to yogyakarta and go to Borobudur over the 4 days you have. Borobudur is so worth it to visit, despite the souvenirs sellers that keep bugging you at the entrance. Don't forget to visit Prambanan temple too.
Although it is possible to also visit Mt. Bromo during the 4 days, I'd just recommend u to explore Yogyakarta. It got so much to offer. Yogyakarta is the only province in Indonesia that still has a King acting as the Governor, you'll experience a very serene Javanese culture atmosphere.
Hope u'll enjoy ur stay

Hi Noka,
Was really looking at booking Yogyakarta and Borobodur on arrival in Bali but decided to go somewhere new on Bali and going to have 4 nights close to Menjangan Island (Mimpi Resort) in the far NW of Bali close to Gilimanuk. My sister dived there years ago and reckoned it was really good for snorkelling, plus we could even take a day trip over to Java on the ferry for lunch and back (just so I can say I've been to Java and can program in it as well)
Yogyakarta and Borobodur will have to wait but they will be visited soon (maybe on our next trip while doing the Pasola in Sumba).
Thanks for your post, and maybe should take a longer trip and combine Bromo and Borobodur in one.
