Travel Forums System Talk Uploaded videos and how to find them

Hi there,
I am a new member to the site but I like it a lot. As I was uploading some images and then uploaded a video I noticed that in the "public profile" the image gallery shows very nicely but there is no mention of your video/videos.
I missed the 2007 survey but I think it would be great to have the video thumbnails show in a gallery below the photos or somewhere in there as I don't want to start a Blog just to insert them there. Maybe i missed something but I couldn't find it yet. Also when doing a "search" under "all" , the results search the forums, photos, blogs, guide etc but not videos?

cheers

I knew this question was going to come some day :) You're totally right of course, the videos should also show on the profile page, or at the very least be linked to from there. I don't know why but just yesterday I was thinking about this. Originally when we added the possibility to upload videos and embed them in the blogs, that was the main goal. It was always the intention to expand on this, but as we don't actually do the transcoding and hosting, it's one of those features that slips our mind. I'm filing this on our 'to do' list and hopefully will be able to add in the near future.

Thanks for the quick reply Sam I AM,

Glad to hear it is on the to-do list, and I am not totally off my rocker. Look forward to seeing it in action.

I just added the videos to member profiles. The gallery will contain links directly to the videos as well as to a member's gallery. Here's mine for example. No plans as of yet to make a gallery with the latest videos uploaded by all members, but it probably will happen at some stage :)

Not in any of the IE's I tested it in. Which version was this? I assume you refreshed?

Aha! I just refreshed and it turns out different now. I think the browser failed to load the new external CSS file.
