Travel Forums Europe Suggestions for a working summer holiday...?

Hello!
I would like to work in Europe this summer from beg June until early Sept, but cannot decide where to go or where would have me! - any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am an English woman of 24years - I am planning to travel alone (it wont be the first time)
I would like to job in a country in europe so the flights are cheap. Do you think there is much chance of me finding a catering/bar job somewhere where an english speaking employee would be acceptable? I would prefer to visit a place of culture if possible rather than a 21's holiday resort!
Many thanks (in advance) for any help.
Teeen

learn4good.com often has job listings, though i don't know how reputable they all are! you could consider working at a hostel, though typically room and board is accepted as standard pay. i would think about writing to places individually also.

youll end up getting jobs in touristy places if you cant speak the language of the country, only english. not necessarily 21s resorts, but on the touristy strip. and if you dont have a visa, you have NO chance of being in those places.. if you have an EU passport youll be fine (JEALOUS!!).

you can be a nanny, ppl are always looking for nannies and just about always (cept in the UK) wont care if you have a visa or not. your best chance is to show up and give your CV to a bunch of places and hope they have something for you!
