Hiyas, I'm planning on traveling to China and Mongolia at he end of May. As a result I need to get either a 'double' or 'multiple' (ie. travel to China, then Mongolia and back into China) entry visa. The local Australian Chinese embassy is telling me they can not issue any double or multiple entry visas (even though the application form clearly offers these options) And that I would need to get another single entry visa in Ulaanbaatar. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to get around the problem? Cheers, Joff.
It's going to be that way at least until the Olympics is over.
I'm afraid you have to carry the issue out as the Embassy said.
Yes, you have to do this for the second entry into China back from Mongolia. But don't worry as long as you have justifiable reasons, they'll most probablly give you the visa. Cheers! Zita
Thank you all for your replies, after a night's sleep, I'm resigned to re-applying now, still don't understand why? but it seems to be the best option for me... wishing you good travels in the future!
Maybe try going to a different consulate or the same consulate at a different time. The regulations can change weekly and it depends on your nationality. Remember if your not an American you can actually get a transit visa for much cheaper and only good for a few days. Call the consulate for more information.
The local Chinese embassy has just issued me with a double entry visa, I''m very happy!
That is awesome! Have a great time in Mongolia. I loved it.
