What are the TOP 10 things to do & see in Thailand,Cambodia, & Vietnam?
We will be there in July & don't want to miss anything. When you are reading on line
the options are very over whelming.
Thanks for your input.

Cambodia - the first thing that comes to mind is Angkor - its on the flag, the beer, everywhere. So do go see it!

Vietnam -Trekking in Sapa and visiting Halong Bay are some suggestions...

Our advice would be to travel safely, but seeing as you have the children with you... get out and see the far flung places.

Everyone visits Angkorwat - and yes it is amazing but with teenagers in tow they may find looking at a ruins for a week a bit much. The other problem you have is that it gets pretty expensive for a family...

Yet travel by Tuk-tuk or bus to some of the more remote areas and you will experiences the real Cambodia... & I assure you the best time of your life is to be had if you then combine that with some volunteer work and see life through the eyes of the Khmer people!

Either way you MUST remember you cannot go wandering off wherever you fancy as there are still a lot of landmines and people are still being killed or injured everyday by these terrible devices...

But that considered there is SO much to see away from all the normal travellers' sites...

You have our email address so feel free to ask any other questions.

Safe Travels

If you can, drop by Pai in Northern Thailand, and go whitewater rafting! I went with Pai Adventures, also in July (2005), and it as a great experience. The equipment was good, the food was good, and the guides were friendly and accommodating. And it's affordable too. I paid 1800 baht for the 2 day 1 night trip.

I'll be going to Laos and Vietnam in May or June, so if there's anything new on Vietnam, I'll post again. :)

You can go snorkeling in the Islands of Thailand for fantastic prices. I didn't do it when I was there as it was the rainy season, but I've heard amazing thing about it, so I'm itching to go back to try it!

I was 18 when I was in Cambodia, and loved Angkor. We got a 3 day pass, but were all templed-out by the second day- but you HAVE to see it! Make sure you get the boat down to Phnom Penh from Siem Reap (if you're going that way), as it's 100 times better than bus! (take the sun screen).

The Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam were also great, but I couldn't appreciate them properly as I had food poisoning from eating in a restaurant in Saigon :(

Finally, food from street stalls is delicious!!!! The noodles down Khao San Road in Bangkok, and all over Thailand are- I think- the best in the world!!! :P
