I know Banff and Jaspar are beautiful National Parks but wondering if anyone had an opinion of Yoho and Kootenay. Thanks.

Hello travelus88.
I used to work in visitor information in radium hot springs just outside of kootenay national park. I will let you know while banff and jasper may have many more tourist (family friendly) attracions, that yoho and kootenay are just as beautiful but a little bit less accesable, smaller and with less attracions. Still highly recommened to visit though. Pick up a copy of the mountain guide when you pay for your parks pass or download it off the national parks website before you visit. It couvers the routes, information and all the attractions of the mountain national parks. Hiking information can be found in information centres in the parks. Ask them or call first if you plan on going out to find out if the trails are open, conditions, elevations, distances and bear and cougar repports.
Hope that helps... just ask for any greater details but the parks canada website should have it all.
Have fun and take care.
