lol...I've adopted the new motto of "boys suck." (I mean in a negative sense...no other meaning, you people out there with dirty minds!) And no offense to all the boys out there, I'm sure you're nice people :)

I agree about the boys in Montreal. I thought I had a normal one, but it turned out he was weird...so the hunt continues. I wish I could take a little trip somewhere to meet a boy...hmmm...maybe I will :)

I know this sounds very obvious, and I hate it when people ask me about it, but I figured I throw it in the ring none-the-less. Have you thought about ever dating one of your guy friends? I find the best relationships spring out of friendship. (...if you're together for a loooong time the passion fades...blah, blah, blah...and it will last if you get along...blah, blah, blah).

All of this babble aside, I really enjoy being single (although yes, there are times I wish I could just cuddle up on the couch with that special someone in my sweats and watch a movie). I love the independant feeling! WOOO WEEEE! Plus the whole bottle of wine (or Baileys) lovelee suggested is great! :)

Cheers,
Katie ;)

To be honest I quite enjoy my independence and I get to do what
I want when I want. It's just a little annoying when everybody else is all coupley.

I have dated a friend before, and though at the time it seemed like a good idea, I got to see the real him and he turned out to be an utter waste of time-no regrets though, I'm glad I got to see what a real friend he was in the end. I enjoy my flirting with my male friends and hanging out with my gurlie mates and I guess I feel better single at the moment and I'm young, it's just sometimes you just get the feeling that it won't happen 4 ya. Neway, I thought i'd say.

cheers for the replies everybody, I promise I'm not some desperate person.

Don't worry! We don't think you're desperate! We totally understand your problem. I have officially put a ban on all Valentine's days specifically for the reason that I don't like the Velveeta-ness that goes on. Girls with roses, boxes of chocolate, balloons, and all that cheese... like do people actually think that because your bf got you some manufactured and marketed gift on this, the most annoying day of the year for singles, that the guy loves you all of a sudden? No offense to all the nice boyfriends and husbands/fiancees out there but seriously... it tends to get annoying. I remember the school days when girls would be all gushy... hated it. And I will remain adamant about it once I get some guy... No Valentine's day anything. Just for the principle of the thing... Ok I sound psychotic just to say that I hate the coupley cheesiness as well! And I'm not desperate either!

plenty more fish in the sea is such an awful cliche- they even made a song about it which is positively morbidifying. And the more you look for Mr Right, the more every Tom, Dick and Harry begins to seem like he's the one for you, when everyone else is wondering when he'll stop scratching his butt

But it's itchy!

It has to be asked..... "where have all the good women gone?"
Its cool to be single, and have alot of good mates of the opposite sex, as they know what you are like and how you think, they are the ones who act (without your permission) as your agent, sometimes this can be annoying, but sometimes they do a GREAT job,
your be sweet girl

Girls, girls

Calm down U all know as well as I and every female on the planet knows, that we are not here just to be part of a 'couple':exclaim
Nor do we need to be. Yes it would be lovely to be with someone who truely cared, and if it happens it happens. However, speaking as someone who has been on her own for a while now, simply because I prefer it that way, I can tell you honestly that life is very sweet and I have the nicest time meeting all sorts of people, going on dates, enjoying the company of men and taking in life in general

Be positive girls We are all capable, lovely creatures and have the world to look forward to.
