dcasanares has indicated that this thread is about Dominican Republic

I want to celebrate my baby's 13th birthday in the Dominican Republic.

Can I get advice on a good resort that will not be boring for two adults, an 18 and an 13 year old.

If we can find a place to spend 5 to 7 days that would be great!!!

Accomocations - above average to excellent

I've never been to the D-R, but everyone says to stay away from anything under 4 stars.

Hi dcasanares

Check out Barcelo Bavaro Beach. It is in Punta Cana, is a 4 star property that we went to a few years ago. They also have a 5 star next door. Best thing about this resort was that there was always something going on. Our kids had a blast, and so did we. Food was great, beach is absolutely stunning, and the animation staff was a lot of fun.

One more thing.

Definitely check out

This is a website started by a Canadian woman and has reviews on pretty much every hotel in Dominican.

Important to note:

There will be some bad reviews on pretty much every hotel. There are some travelers that don't quite understand that service and food will not always be to North American Standards. The Carribean tends to move at a slower pace than the US so you do have to relax. After all, you are on vacation.
