can anyone tell me how much (approximately will do) the train from Warsaw to Moscow will cost me towards the end of May? Also is it possible to walk into the station in Warsaw and just buy said ticket, or does it need to be booked in advance?
There are plenty of agencies selling tickets but I'll try steer clear of these unless I'm really stuck.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. anybody good know a good, clean, central and cheap hotel in Warsaw?
Im going to try to go from Warsaw to st petersburg and i think thats going to cost around £50UK. Theres a few sites that might help you re the trains:
As for cheap and cheerful hotels/hostels you should try hostelworld.com, all of the places on there are reviewed by the people who have stayed there already so its as trustworth as it gets i guess.
Are you by chance going any further than moscow, trans siberian by any chance?
I've just discovered that I need a visa for Belarus if I travel direct from Warsaw to Moscow. So, i'll fly from Ireland to Riga and take the train from there.
As for travelling further than Moscow I'm afraid not, not this time at least. I've done if as far a Mongolia before in the early 90's, an awesome trip.
If you're taking the TS express enjoy it, it's a once in a liftetime.
Again thanks for your advice and help, much appreciated.
