HYPOTHETICALLY, say I am moving (emigrating) to London in early June. As I am HYPOTHETICALLY emigrating, I would want to find long term accomodations, but I would prefer to wait until I've had a chance to secure a full time job and figure out a bit more on the city before I commit to a place / neighbourhood.
Can anyone suggest a place I could find accomodation for short-term (2-3 months, maybe)? I'd like furnished, as in my HYPOTHETICAL move, I wouldn't have much in the way of furniture coming with me. I don't mind sharing, but I'd need my own room so that I could lock up my very expensive collection of porn... er, I mean my laptop and CDs... wouldn't get stolen. Something in the city and on the tube lines would be required, as I will have no car and have no patience for long commutes.
I won't say money is no object, but I'm prepared for the fact that London is pretty expensive, so would be willing to examine options in all price ranges (though we could probably exclude the kind of accomodations that Paris Hilton, Prince William or the Sultan of Brunei would be interested in - those would be a WEE bit out of my price range).
Given that this would be June - September, maybe some sort of University residence might be open?
P.S. If my boss is reading this, did I mention this is all just HYPOTHETICAL. Definitely not about to quit my job and take off for London or anything like that, so keep those pay checks coming...
