In 2003, the Iranian-Canadian photojournalist was brutally raped, tortured then murdered while in the custody of Iranian police.
It doesn't matter how decent average Iranians are, the vice police are not. They are actually quite hypocritical (Tehran's police chief caught nude with 6 women) and can make your life very difficult should they so choose. Before you comment, I have 2 profs who are from Iran and they are very nice and always willing to help if you need it.
I am sure you will never go to Iran..
