Also always make sure my ipod is set so that i can drag music on to it from other peoples' itunes... Then when i meet people who have great music i can pop it onto mine. I have got lots of music from countries all over the place this way

I never bring music with me on long trips--I like to just be aware of what's going on and enjoy. But! For road trips, bus trips, Metro trips, trips to the grocery store, etc. etc, right now I've got the following on re-play:

  • Postal Service
  • Tragically Hip
  • Leonard Cohen
  • Johnny Cash
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • ABBA (don't tell anyone)
  • Pat Benetar
  • Jeff Buckley
  • CCR
  • A-Ha
  • The Smiths
  • Morissey

And others that escape me at the moment. Must download some new stuff--I'm getting a teensy bit bored of "Half past twelve, and I'm watching the late show...".

Quoting tway

  • ABBA (don't tell anyone)
  • Pat Benetar

I can understand Dancing Queen and Fernando. ABBA is a guilty pleasure. I would have said "don't tell anyone" for Pat Benetar. But then I'm one to talk, I have Henry Mancini. (Hey the Peter Gunn and Pink Panther themes are classics. And, who doesn't like Baby Elephant Walk...)

After my first trip on my own without music i go out of my way to bring as much diffrent music as i can now. I think alittle bit of the old like:

Marley
Dylan
Stones
Clash
Cash
Cohen ( good stuff Tway )
doors

And some new stuff
Tapes N Tapes
Clap your hands say yeah
Arcade Fire
Modest mouse
Elliott Smith

I normaly try to put abit of everything on my ipod. You never know what will compliment where you are or what you looking at.

P.S I have to admit that i have Pat Benetar and abba..... And even worse i think Kate Bush
