Hi

I'm heading to SA in may for 3 weeks. Will be starting in chile and going to Bolivia and argentina. However, I speak very little spanish, and by little I mean a few words! I am trying to learn the basics at the moment but i'm no natural linguist! I was just wondering if this was going to be a major problem for me?? Also, as a female travelling solo I'm slightly concerned!

Depending on how far you intend to stray off the beaten track, English will do fine. And most places where you would need some Spanish (bus terminals, some hostels, museums) are crowded with other tourists anyway, and they are likely to be able to help you out.
