I think they're relaxing more by October 18th.

Tibet Permits and entry to Nepal is now allowed.

Still not allowed to enter Tibet through Nepal though

Hopefully this will change in Oct

when the 18th comes, its going to be Dec.

Personally this is inconvenient. But if this is part of an effort to weed out racist and arrogant decaying foreign devils from China, then I don't missing the Spring Festival this year.

They are tired of this China bashing foreigners who are just waiting to meet their creator by staying in some cheap county. We are all paying the price for the crimes of the pathetic few.

Now everything seems fine. I am applying for a year F- visa for my marriage in China.After olympics things have gone fine and I do hope there is no Visa problem

Just in case anyone was still curious, Ive just managed to obtain a 60 day 'L' visa, without having to confirm anything with the embassy, they didnt ask for proof of accomodation or proof of forward travel.

Gartt, where did you get your 60 days visa?
I plan to visit China after chinese new year and wonder if I can get 60 days visa in China Embassy, Kuala Lumpur? ANyone get that recently and how many days it took?

Hey, i got mine from the UK Embassy in London via post. It only took 3-4 days. I dont know about anywhere else but thats a strong signal to me that things have been relaxed.
