2-3 week stop off in Asia

Travel Forums Asia 2-3 week stop off in Asia

So I'll have been in Europe for 6 months by October.
Instead of doing my current return flight of London to Melbourne direct I'm kind of thinking it's a waste to fly half way across the world having spare time without stopping anywhere - so I wanna change it to stop off somewhere in Asia in October.

Also as I feel I will have a more exciting time there rather than a couple more weeks in Europe - but feel free to critique this

I've already been to Thailand, Nepal (loved both) as well as Mumbai and Bombay, and am thinking somewhere else to broaden my travel mind! I'm also concerned that it may still be monsoon in some areas? Can anyone clear this up?

So for a 23 y/o guy travelling alone who likes the beach, landscapes, the odd beer or 10 - where would you suggest?

Cheers,

Erik

Vietnam for sure (Aussies love the place generally!) For a young dude I'd suggest Hanoi, Hoi An, Sapa and Nha Trang. This is the place where Bia Hoi (fresh beer) is cheaper than mineral water.

Only problem - you won't want to go home!!!

Erik, as far as the Monsoon goes, even if it was peak season, which it's not I would say go, go , go! Rainy season can be a fun experience anyway, as long as you are in a safe and or dry place!

I agree, you won't want to go home! Many don't!

Have Fun!
