Figuring out souvineers for office mates from Japan

Travel Forums Asia Figuring out souvineers for office mates from Japan

I'm trying to figure out what's the best and affordable souvineer to take home to an office of between 15-20 people. I typically do that when I go on trips and for Japan I just am not sure what people in our office can relate to as wholly Japanese. Any suggestions would be great.

You could bring them each a small coin, that is usually my gift of choice.

When I went to Japan I brought back (for myself AND as gifts) daruma dolls. They are pretty small (well they actually come in many sizes) and only cost about 250-300 yen each (for the smaller ones). You can buy them just about everywhere and they are very cool looking. The eyes are blank and you colour one of them in and make a wish, leaving the other one blank until your wish comes true. Also, you could get some nice chopsticks or something that are actually made in Japan. That is a good and useful gift. Anways, I'm sure they will love anything you bring back for them. GANBATTE (Do your best!) Enjoy your trip. Japan is a beautiful country with a wonderful culture and population.
