We used to go rafting down the Wolf River in Wisconsin every Father's Day weekend for several years. We camped at Shotgun Eddy's each time but there are several campgrounds in the area from which to choose. The scenery is beautiful and the website describes the various trips available. At the end of the trip, there is a waterfall for the adventurous (not too bad - always did it) but there is an exit point just before the falls for the not-so-brave.

I've also done the Apple River tubing trip and that was fun too. It's located close to the Minnesota/Wisconsin state line.

For more adventure, there are rafting trips on the Salmon River in Idaho and the Colorado River. I haven ot done either of these rivers so can't comment on the trips. Do be aware that we have had an enormous amount of rainfall so far this year and many of the rivers are at flood stage or overflowing their banks. With the rivers being so high, rafting and tubing trips will be cancelled until the waters recede.

There's rafting and camping at New World up here. It's fun--apparently best right about now when the river is high and the rapids are fiercer. I went in August and it was relatively tame (although I still fell in twice the first time we went) If you could have your pick, though, I'd definitely go with Colorado. It looks like the most fun.

Get yourself down to the North Georgia mountains for some world class V rapids and perfect weather. The area for some of the best rivers includes north Ga mountains, North Carolina and Tennessee. Hey its where they made Deliverance!
