I'm traveling over to Aussie later on in the year for a few weeks to go on a road trip around New South Wales and Queensland, and obviously will be wanting to use my phone from NZ (where I live).
At the moment I'm using Vodafone as my plan for my phone here, and a mate told me the other day that using a vodafone NZ mobile in Australia costs the same as in NZ. I've found their website and the offer of the thing at www.vodafone.co.nz/scary ...
What do the kiwis traveling over to Oz think? Have any Kiwis here used vodafone in Australia before?
I'm a Kiwi, I travelled in Aussie with my Vodafone for a few months last year. They have some good plans for calling/texting within Australia
Personally I would pick up a cheap vodafone pre paid when you arrive. i have whist having family back in Nz.I dont have any plans to worry about and if i pay $49 AUD i get in return $310 dollars worth the credit.
This also allows me to text and call NZ. Its is important that you are not being charged with international roaming from NZ especially being on a plan, it can work out to be really expensive.
I have heard Telecom has new roaming in Aus deals??? Dont know anything about them, but could be worth looking in to. Though if you already have Vodafone and the deals are allright then you should be sweet
