hey , next year me and a few friends are planning on a eurotrip
we live in england and are planning to leave from dover to cali in france by feiry, after that we going to be driving all the way ! all of us have a drivers license so it will be taken in turns.
but heres our problem we wanted to go anti clock wise through europe starting in france/belguim and then heading towards madrid some where that way !
the only thing is we want to visit portugal , greece , venice, germany , czehc republic , italy austria and many more. we just cant get a map up togeather to make it run smoothly as there is so many places but there soo far apart it will be alot of travelling.
i would just like to find out how much this will all cost ? we do have a tent so staying in hostels ect ll the time will not be neccesary. please just help us by how much money to bring, costs of pertrol , places to go and places that wont be neccesary to go we want to make this the best trip ever ! we all have 3 months off at the end of NEXT year !
thanksyou very much !!
You should phrase your question more concisely; what exactly is it you want to know?
At any rate, 3 months won't be nearly enough to see all of Europe, and to keep costs in hand it would be best not to cover more distance than is useful. If going cheap is your main concern, I'd drop southern and mediterranean Europe altogether, and head to eastern Europe and the Balkans instead. And obviously, none of us can tell you about next year's petrol prices.
Since you seem to be planning to go in winter, bear in mind that many campsites will be closed, while camping off the road will still be illegal. This means you will have to stay in hostels.
well what would you say are the best places to visit ?
we just dont know where to start ?
I have been planning a similar trip, and the first thing I did, was research the countries I wanted to go to. I went onto Google and typed in the different possible countries, and ruled out some of them simply because things are closed in the Winter.
I also purchased travel books which gives an in depth explanation of each country.
Once I chose the countries, I was able to create an itinerary that fits every thing!
