I'm not too clear on what I'm supposed to post on this thread, but the image of some bloke wearing a tutu in a vat of beer singing "a La Monroe" brings up an uproarious picture - just thinking about it give one the fits. Haha. Do you know, it's nearly quarter to eight at night, and I'm still in my pj's and dressing gown? Have been all day. It's nice to be lazy sometimes isn't it?

Something funny...something funny? Yep, some years ago one of my boys (sons, I've got 4) was embarrassing me in public geeze I was so embarrassed fair dinkum. So I thought right! Two can play at that game, so I did my "Adolf Hitler" imitation - in public! Anyone here ever watched "Fawlty Towers"? You know, the English comedy series. Well anyway, I put my index finger (left hand) under my nose, raised my right arm in the German WW II salute, shouted "Achtung!" and proceeded to do the German stormtrooper walk - you know where each leg is raised to a horizontal position - and stamped along the street.

I can guarantee you my son didn't embarrass me again, he wasn't game to come up the street with me!

That bloke wearing a pink tutu in a vat of beer and singing would be our very own Beerman - Reigning Queen of TP and Brewmaster to the Stars. And though he's not that type of queen, he would look fetching in that (gold, I think it was) Priscilla - Queen of the Desert gown with his chestwig seductively showing just enough to drive James wild. He also looks dashing in his green speedo. Let's face it, he even looks good as a pirate. (Maybe I'm just biased...)

It's always good to embarrass your childern. The older you get, the more you can get away with it too!!!! So, grab a tutu, a glass of Captain's and goosestep to your hearts content. Just don't let Pardus fart in your general direction. Skunks would be a more plesant experience.

Haha - which one is Beerman - is he the one with the "fish/shark"? And I must say, I've never seen a chair like that - with an orange flamingo on the side.

And yes embarrassing one's children - it's called "Payback."

That would be him - with Sharky and two pink flamingos. (They're regular ol' lawn flamingos and there is one on the other side too.) Sadly, one of the cats put a claw through Sharky a couple of days later. We laid him to rest in the garbage can that week. (Sharky, not Beerman. I think Beerman is still alive. He was a few minutes ago anyway.)

We call it educational retraining. As in, keep it up and you'll be back in training pants and I don't care if you're 15.

Isadora, you gotta good sense of humour - 'educational training'

Another good one when junior chucks a wobbly (temper tantrum) up the street know how to stop it? Easy - don't yell, don't tell him/her off, just copy them and stamp your feet shout, yell whatever do the exact same thing and I can gaurantee you they will most definitely stop carrying on. And they'll be looking around hoping none of their friends are anywhere nearby.

Chuck a wobbly - throw a temper tantrum
