Hello guys and gals...

Could anyone give me some tips and stuff on getting my hands on a combi van to travel up the east coast.

Also is a combi the way to go, what about other means of transport. Also is it easy to sell the combi when i am finished with it.

Any stories and advice would be greatly recieved.

Cheers
Jordan

A combi eh, like a Volkswagen Kombi?

These can be notoriously unreliable, mostly because they are getting quite old now, and many of them have been used to travel all over Australia, or used as a carry van. Most of the "pop top" Kombis are 25 years old or more, and the younger kombis are not that common.

It you are after a means of transport rather than something to sleep in, I'd suggest you get yourself a car like a Camry or Magna from the late 80's or early 90s.

Have a look at http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au

Also, if you buy a really cheap car, you can simply drive it to the airport on your way home and leave it there. No need to hassle around with trying to sell it.

Yeah, the trading post is probably the best way to find a second hand car in Australia. They've got a site too, which will save you the $2.70
