as I am living in Southern France, I can definitely recommend you Southern France, as its nature is each and every day astonishing! You've got the mediterranean Sea (sport nautique!), mountains (winter sport and hiking). So if you are interested in nature than big and loud cities, come here and enjoy.
I love Southern France, ever since I spent a fortnight teaching English in a lycee in the Dordogne in 1996!
I'm particularly fond of all the wooded valleys, and the cute lizards we found while playing golf one afternoon. There was even a full-size replica of the White House falling into disrepair..
Hello, how far and how long is Monaco from Dijon by train?
Don't forget Camargue! The best water reserve anyway! Flamingos are just fabulous there : )
