Travel Forums Europe Advice about Siena, Italy

We are heading off for a three week honeymoon in Greece and Italy this Summer. I wanted some advice on our time in Siena. We found a nice property that is 20 min outside of Siena in the countryside that looks very beautiful. We are debating between staying there and the actual town of Siena. We are backpacking and do not have a rental car. We don't want to miss out on Siena....but like the idea of staying in the Tuscan countryside as well. Would anyone who has travelled to Siena before care to weight in? We are only staying two nights.

Siena is not to be missed. You might like to look at staying in a monastery. Just near the city. I found this site which has a couple of places near the city. You wouldn't need a car as you can get there by train but might need good legs as it is a hill town.

Although no-one would mind a genuine suggestion for accomodation, I have the distinct impression that this is well-disguised spam (two newbie users, one located on the US virgin Islands?). Nothing to the disadvantage of the company advertised above, but be aware that these users may not be real.

Being a new user doesn't make me spam. I am sure no one put you in charge of making stupid accusations like this every time a new user posts and they aren't from an area you approve of.

I'm glad to see that you're for real, and that you've made various other useful posts as well by now. I'll gladly retract my words of caution herewith; be aware that we've had a large number of such scams here, so you'll have to forgive my suspicion.

Still looking for accomodation if anyone has any suggestions! Thanks! :)
