Hi everyone

Could anyone suggest a quite, non touristy beach/island close to Bangkok?
We would like to find somewhere to chill after the main trip before heading back home.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated :-)

Cheers
Mimi

Mimi,
When I was on KSR years ago, a guy had put up adverts for his bungalows between Cha Am and Hua Hin. This was the GHs behind the temple at the end of KSR. It might be worth your time to look on several GH walls and see if any out of the way options exist. A stop in several travel shops might pay off as well. Let them know you want a quiet, not touristy beach experience close to BKK. See if they have any suggestions. Does not hurt to ask. Good Luck.

Thanks Mike.

I recently came across Koh Talu and thought that might be a good option. Have you been there/ do you know what it's like?

Mimi,
No, I have not been there. But this is the area I thought might fit your requirements. Around Hua Hin & Chumphon area. There are many small beach options down this stretch of Thailand. Not big enough to advertise, but quiet, cheap and enjoyable for a few days. Google 'ban krut' as well. Good Luck.
