Have you encountered passengers who keep getting up from their seat (you're in the middle) and going to the toilet? Or passengers who snore like a hog? Or passengers who place their hand too much over to your side of the armrest?

They are fairly familiar characters, them three. Also once had the pleasure of sitting next to a fella who put his head in his hands and moaned 'aaarghhh' quite loudly every time there was a bit of light turbulence.

The two worst passengers i've come accross while traveling were:

1, A man who thought it was really funny to tell the air hostess that he had a bomb in his hand luggage... 2 hours latter and lots of armed police we finally got away. Then to top it off he moaned that his case was damaged by the police...

2, This may sound really horrible but i was once sat next to a old lady, prob 70-80 years old, that first off took about 10 mins to get into her seat. ( next to mine ). And what made it worse is i was in the window seat and i really felt guilty asking her to move so i just sat it out. Then she nodded off about once every 10 mins either laying into me or even more annoying her elbow turning up the TV system to max.. I suppose its funny to look back on but that was one long flight to canada.

I've had the 'luck' of sitting next to this guy who was travelling with his wife on an overnight 13hr flight from Singapore to Amsterdam. He

1) kept talking to me though I desperately wanted to sleep cos I had been having only 2-3hr nights for a few months and had been at work the entire day before the flight. Didn't get the very obvious hint when I ignored him and didn't respond to whatever he was saying and asking.

2) took up too much space. Yes KLM economy seats in their older planes are pathetically tiny, but he wasn't particularly big-sized. He kept leaning out of his own seat space into mine. The ultimate when the lights went off in the cabin and he decided to curl up in his very tiny seat and to use the armrest between us as a pillow. His head was resting against my arm so I pushed, hoping he'll get the hint, but he just moved his head closer into my space!

So I elbowed him in the head

And this very smart guy was telling his wife the Gaza strip was in Italy. I didn't bother to correct him.

There was a very large man on a Miami to LA flight who snored so loud that it was like a roar throughout the Coach cabin. This went on for almost the entire flight, despite the flight attendants who kept nudging him every once in a while.

Then there was a flight to Hawaii. I had been bumped from my flight, so the airline sent me in a taxi to an airport across town and put me in first class. As I settled into my seat, this gorgeous, movie-star handsome guy with a lean body and long hair found the seat next to me. He had a great French accent...but the worst body odor I have ever experienced! It was unbelievable! That turned out to be a long flight.

And Sapphyre, what a dummy that guy on your flight was! Everyone knows The Gaza Strip is in Las Vegas!

I think I would have preferred the dummy guy to BO though. Yikes!!!

in the 10 flights ive had so far on my travels only once ... yep Once! have i had to sit next to anyone, i count myself very very lucky!

tho on my flight to NYC there was this doode on the otherside of the plane to me but 1 row infront, and he was going crazy because he had to fill in the immigration card that 'everyone' has to fill upon entering a country, he was kicking up such a fuss because he was a US citizen, the noise and agression worried alot of the passngers, i personally couldnt stop laughing, tho at one point i did get alittle sketched out, i think what made things worse was he was of a 'muslim' race looking - not needed specially inbound to NYC of all places! ... it took 2 air hosteses and one male flight attendant to calm him down, these antics went on for a good 45 mins!
