Jonathan is certainly an arse. I was wondering why they would sign-on someone so shallow and pathetically self-absorbed, but hey, if we're talking about him, everyone else probably is, too! Someone you love to hate...
Iceland was beautiful. Oh, for a trip to the BLue Lagoon, to lounge in those hot springs. Mmm...
Unfortunately, I've got training on Tuesdays from 8 to 9 (and it's in bloody Mount Royal - an hour and a half from home!), so I'm going to miss the whole season! Anyone know if they show replays on non-cable channels later in the week? Maybe I'll just keep coming here for re-caps...
At least I'm free to watch Lost on Wednesdays!
CTV occasionally replays the show on Saturdays, but the only reliably scheduled replays are on OLN, unfortunately for you. (Non-cable?!? What do you do at nights?!?)
Sometimes I watch CSI. Don't tell anybody.
It'll be our little secret
And yeah, I missed the first episode of the amazing race this time around, but I caught half of the last one, and all I can say is that I'm glad it's back.
I also hope that Jonathan and his hoochie are gone soon!
Yay! Amazing Racers posting... Ahhh I am now back in my element!
First of all, Tina, I need to say, I try to watch CSI every week. I LOVE that show, and would go into forensics if I didn't need to take all those nasty Organic Chemistry courses. But the double trouble hotness of Nick and Brown (what on earth is his first name?!?!?) make me drool. So so so hot! Can you imagine just walking in between them? I'd die. And that's just walking...
Getting back to the matter at hand, Jonathan the annoying I think will get far enough, but I don't think they'll make it to the end. I think he's gonna end up hitting her or something (did you guys see the previews for next week?!?!)... that's kind of scary.
Jon and Kris seem to be pretty popular. I think it's their easy going and happy attitudes. The sisters are cool too, just cause they make me think of my sister and myself, and how we would do in the game... if only we could play!
You know, I always think when you get to a Detour, choose the scarier one because it's gonna be faster no matter what. But this week's Detour was weird both ways. The amount of times people fell during the road "skiing" thingie was insane! So I guess it's not always beneficial to choose the more daring one.
I can't wait until next week! It's like a lament at the end of each show "How can I wait until next week!!!!!!!!!!!"
Tam, I like the guy in the lab with the crazy hair. Nice and skinny - just like I like 'em!
CSI is the in the bottom half of my favourites (although I only have the two channels...). Every once in while, though, they say something that irks me. Especially Horatio Craine's solo sentence in the opening scene, before they cut to commercial.
But back to the topic: Who got booted off this week on AR? That father in the father-daughter team was slowing them down with his hard-headedness. I don't know how long they'll last...
Gus and Hera (father/daughter team) were third! I think... I'm on the Amazing Race website a lot... and I don't remember! Anyways, Maria and Meredith (the best friends from New York) got booted off. They were lagging massively cause they both didn't know how to drive a standard car. All the teams had VW Touaregs and oh man did they kill theirs! I felt bad for them but you should learn before you go on the show I believe cause you know you'll be tested that way. Most of the AR-es I've seen have involved standard cars somewhere.
Kris and Jon came in first. The sisters had a really good lead cause they asked a local to help them out with directions (they actually took him along on the drive!), but they made a mistake (after they left him) and they came in last (before M&M). Freddy and Krista (was that her name? I don't remember) were there before two other teams (they were supposed to be in 6th place) but because they took two clues from the box, they had a 30 min penalty. SO basically, they had to sit on a rock next to the pit stop and wait half an hour! I felt so bad! They saw two teams come ahead of them because they made that mistake! At least they didn't get eliminated. Ok... that's the summary of how it ended!
I have a gripe with fate. How do you explain that Kristy never got to find the bale of hay with the clue in it even though she was the 3RD to get there?!?! So so so unfair! I hate moments like that. You know that you just couldn't avoid it, that's the way it's meant to go down, so what can you do! Maybe that's a tad fatalistic... I don't know! But I felt so bad for them. They had such a nice attitude about it too, like we gave it our all but it didn't work out, at least we tried out best. Sometimes I wish I were more like that.
The Detour was pretty simple to choose from. Count? I think not. Especially since it's 2304 mini little things! AM I the only one still interested in the Amazing Race?
How do you explain that Kristy never got to find the bale of hay with the clue in it even though she was the 3RD to get there?!?!
I did the math on this, and I think that she MUST have missed one of the clues. She turned over more than 100 bales of hay (out of 200). All but a few of the rest were turned over, too, by the other teams. There were 20 clues in all, and 8 others were found. That means there were 12 clues left in the 100 bales of hay she turned over.
So, just when she started out, she had a 10% chance of finding a clue on her first try. After 100 bales of hay, it's literally impossible for her not to get one of the clues. She must have missed one (several, actually).
Which is a bummer, because I liked her and her sister!

I missed the show again! I gotta get on top of things. No good.
Was it a good episode?
